CONCACAF and South America qualification results

United States, Costa Rica and Honduras secure places in the World Cup next summer, while Mexico need to face New Zealand in play-off after the end of CONCAFAF qualification.

Mexico were seconds away from dismal elimination after losing the final match to Costa Rica with Panama leading against the United States. However, two goals from American strikers in the dying time relieved the Aztecs and saw them scrape through from the fourth position.

Argentina, Colombia, Chile and Ecuador join hosts Brazil in the World Cup but Uruguay still need to wait for November clash against Jordan despite a victory over group winners Argentina.
