Confederations Cup results: Neymar scored again as Brazil beat Mexico

New Barcelona man Neymar put his name on the score sheet again and added an assist, as Brazil outplayed Mexico 2-0 and secured themselves a spot in the semi-finals.

Although Brazil were far from their best, there were some glimpses of quality from Neymar at the start of the game and just before the final whistle that proved to be the difference.

Neymar got off Selecao to a flying start in the ninth minute of the game, as he met a dropping ball with a brilliant effort. The forward then beat two Mexican players before setting up Jo, who sent the ball into the empty net in the dying stages of the game.

The game was marred with a protests against the government unfolded outside of the stadium.
