Del Piero to shine in Sydney for one more season

The Italian forward penned a new deal with the Australian side.

Former Juventus player Alessandro Del Piero signed a contract with Sydney FC amidst rumours on his transfer to Brazil or United States side.
The 38-year-old striker moved to Australia last September and since then bagged 11 goals in 18 games helping the side to reach the play-off round.

“I have always said I want to continue that for next season but first we must work hard for success on the field for the rest of this season,” claimed Del Piero after extending his contract.

The next fixture of the side is Saturday game against Melbourne Heart as both teams need a victory to say in the play-offs.
