Derek Boateng on the brink of joining Fulham

Fulham are expected to announce the signing of their long-term target Derek Boateng on a free transfer in the near future.

The 30-year-old Ghanaian midfielder is believed to have signed two-year contract that will keep him at the Craven Cottage for up to 2015. Fulham boss Martin Jol is a long-term admirer of Boateng and tried to sign the player on several occasions. He was on the verge of landing the player in January, but the deal collapsed due to the argument between Boateng and his former club Dnipro.

Jol revealed at the pre-match press conference last week that the deal has been agreed with several players and Boateng is widely believed to be one of those unnamed players.
