The heavyweight Bayern Munich set up Bundesliga record for the best unbeaten start to a season with their eight consecutive wins. Mario Mandzukic scored an opener in the 28th minute and Luiz Gustavo netted the other goal in the first half. Thomas Müller built up an unassailable 4-0 lead with his scoring a brace and Rafinha put the final mark in the closing moments of the game with his maiden goal in the season.
Borussia Dortmund 1-2 FC Schalke 04
Borussia Dortmund suffered a shameful defeat to their Revierderby archrivals Schalke on home soil on Saturday. Schalke ran riot from the first minutes of the clash and Ibrahim Afellay opened the scoring in the 14th minute. Marco Höger doubled their lead at the very beginning of the second half making the hosts feel seedy. Reigning Bundesliga champions could only equalize it 1-2 via Robert Lewandowski header. Schalke men are third with 17 points and Dortmund are the fourth falling 5 points behind the rivals.
Hamburger SV 0-1 VfB Stuttgart
VfB Stuttgart wrapped up their second victory in the season with beating the hosts Hamburger SV 1-0. The feat was accomplished by a Bosnia-Herzegovina international Vedad Ibisevic.
FC Nuremberg 0-0 FC Augsburg
The encounter ended in a stalemate goalless draw making both teams mire at the bottom of the Bundesliga table. Nuremberg are the 15th with 8 points and Augsburg just right behind them with only 6 points.
Eintracht Frankfurt 3-1 Hannover 96
Current runners-up Eintracht Frankfurt thrashed Hannover 96 3-1 to stay 5 points below the leaders Bayern Munich. The three goals were produced by Karim Matmour, Sebastian Jung and Alexander Meier.

PSG advanced to the top of Ligue 1 table thanks to Kevin Gameiro header in a 1-0 win over Reims on Saturday. It was a hard-fought win as the visitors were aimed fightingly. Reims men were a footstep away from scoring in the first half and put PSG into a fright when Blaise Matuidi and Jeremy Menez hit the woodwork in the second half.
ES Troyes AC 1-0 Olympique Marseille
Troyes celebrated their first triumph in the season after a shock win over powerhouse Olympique Marseille. A late goal by substitute Benjamin Nivet in the 88th minute raised eyebrows of Marseille who lost the top place in the table to PSG leveling on 19 points with the giants but lagging behind on goal difference.
Olympique Lyon 1-0 Stade Brest
Olympique Lyon came from behind to take pole position in the league table. Bafetimbi Gomis made a splendid lob in the 57th minute securing a 1-0 win thanks to which the team advanced to the third place on 18 points falling by only 1 point to leaders PSG.
Évian Thonon Gaillard FC 0-4 Toulouse FC
Toulouse spurted into the lead sinking the hosts Évian Thonon Gaillard 4-0. They are now the fourth on 16 points thanks to Franck Tabanou opener, Emmanuel Riviere brace and Daniel Braaten late goal.

The leaders Twente ended in a 1-1 draw with Roda JC, their first draw of the season. PSV gained their 7th win in a clash against Willem II, falling 1 point behind Twente. Vitesse are level on 21 points with PSV but are third on goal difference.
Russian Premier League
The leaders Anzhi Makhachkala earned a late 2-1 win over Spartak Moscow thanks to an awkward own goal by Juan Insaurralde in the 90th minute. CSKA Moscow thrashed Rubin Kazan 2-0 remaiing on the second place with 27 points. The heavyweights Zenit St. Petersburg won 1-0 via Kerzhakov penalty in the dying 45th minute of the first half.
