Dynamo Kiev Vukojevic keen on playing in Premier League

Dynamo Kiev midfielder Ognjen Vukojevic is convinced he will be playing for a Premier League side next season, but was reluctant to name the club he is poised to join.

The 29-year-old Croatia international expressed the desire to make a switch to one of Premier League sides in past, however now he claims his dream is close to realization. Vukojevic has been playing on loan at Spartak Moscow since February and made 10 appearances for the club. Vukojevic has also won 48 appearances for the national side.

The Croatian dismissed rumours linking him with a permanent move to Russian side, saying they cannot afford his fee. He revealed: “Spartak Moscow is happy with me but the problem is the asking price. Dynamo Kiev have set it too high. I can’t hide that I would like to play in England. In fact I’m close to a move to one of the clubs in the Premier League.”

It is believed Dynamo Kiev are unlikely to settle for anything less than £7.5million.
