England earned 2-1 victory over Italy in a friendly match
Defoe’s goal sealed England win on the Wankdorf Stadium, though in the Euro 2012 quarter-final Italy had outplayed Roy Hodgson’s side.
The game started with the Roma midfielder Daniele De Rossi scoring an opener on 15 minute, which gave the Cesare Prandelli’s team the lead.
Before the half-hour mark Phil Jagielka replied with header in. Spurs’ Jermain Defoe replaced Caroll to make it 2-1 eleven minutes from time.
Roy Hodgson’s side included five uncapped players - Birmingham goalkeeper Jack Butland, Manchester United’s Tom Cleverley, Norwich’s John Ruddy, Chelsea’s Bertrand and Tottenham’s Jake Livermore.
And the youngest goalkeeper, 19-year-old Butland, showed his potential, winning a full England cap.

I don’t know is it good or bad. Time will tell.
Good for the Lions, but Italy plays fantastic when it needs to, not trying hard in friendlies. remember that friendly against Russian Federation in May?
