Eto’o encourages Aubameyang to join Anzi

Samuel Eto’o suggests St Etienne striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to follow his steps and make a switch to Anzhi Makhachkala.

The highly-rated 23-year-old Gabon international, who has two years left on his current contract, has been linked with move to several European clubs this season, including Arsenal, Fiorentina, Tottenham and Newcastle. Aubameyang’s wonderful form (he netted 21 goals and set up another 16 in 41 appearances in all competitions) means he will be a subject of intense speculation this summer. However The French side is unlikely to settle for anything less than €15million.

Meanwhile Anzhi forward Samuel Eto’o advised Aubameyang to join him at Anzhi, as according to Cameroonian, the Russian side can make an offer he cannot resist.

At the same time St.Etienne boss Christophe Galtier hopes the player will remain at the club. He said: “[Aubameyang]’s under contract. He has been given permission to leave, but there is a value attached for that permission to be granted. If I can keep him, then of course I would like to.”
