Europa League fixtures preview: Lazio vs Galatasaray

The Turkish side aim to make a historic achievement of reaching the Europa League semi-final after a convincing victory over the Biancocelesti in the first leg

The Turks scored two late goals in the home leg courtesy of Pierre Webo penalty and Dirk Kuyt strike and come to Italy with considerable advantage. Yet the side should be cautions considering the fact that the team lost all six matches they have played in the country before, though currently the Istanbul club remains unbeaten in five Europa League away games, keeping the clean sheet in the last four away matches.

Vladimir Petkovic’s men, on the other hand, aim to produce a comeback. The capital side will play behind doors receiving sanctions for repeated episodes of racist behavior from their fans with the latest happening during the game against Borussia Monchengladbach which can significantly affect the side’s performance.

Lazio also showed mediocre display in the clash against Roma that ended in a 1-1 draw which might be a sign of a crisis in the team
Fenerbahce will be without services of Emre and Moussa Sow who are injured, while Bekir İrtegün received suspension for the match. Ogenyi Onazi will not help the Italians after he was sent off in the first leg.
