Europa League last-16 preview: Inter vs Tottenham

Europa League last-16 preview: Inter vs Tottenham

Tottenham put in an excellent attacking display to see off the challenge of Inter Milan at the White Hart Lane. Gareth Bale got the Spurs off to a flying start by scoring with a header from a corner kick in the sixth minute. Goals from Sigurdsson and Vertonghen helped Tottenham to a 3-0 victory and killed the tie ahead of the visit to Italy. The Nerazzurri need to score four goals and do not concede to progress to the next stage of the tournament.

Inter team news:

Injury-plagued Inter Milan will have to field a weakened starting XI. With Nagatomo, Silvestre, Milito, Mudingayi, Samuel and Stankovic being on the sidelines due to injuries the Italian giants face an impossible task of coming back from three goals behind.

Tottenham team news:

Welsh wizard Gareth Bale set to miss the second leg due to being suspended for yellow card accumulation.

Clint Dempsey has recovered from his calf injury that kept him on the sidelines for last four games and could feature in the game against Inter Milan.

Aaron Lennon has been left out of the game against Liverpool because of hamstring injury and could miss the clash with Inter as well.
