Europa League preview: Basel vs Chelsea

Chelsea, the only Premier League side still in the chase of the major European tournament title, are facing a tough challenge of Basel, who have already eliminated Tottenham in the quarter-final.

Basel, who have been undefeated at the home ground in Europa League this season, will be hoping to progress to the first ever UEFA final for the Swiss side.

Basel team news:

Murat Yakin is expected all his big guns for the crucial game against Chelsea, with Sommer taking his place between the sticks, Park Joo-Ho, Dragovic, Schar, Philipp Degen forming the back four, while El-Nenny, Frei, Die and Stocker playing in the middle of the pitch. Salah and Streller are likely to start up front.

Chelsea team news:

According to the latest reports, Chelsea defensive duo Gary Cahill and Ashley Cole have returned to full fitness following their injuries and could be featuring in the upcoming game, albeit as the subs.

Demba Ba is ineligible due to being suspended.

Irreplaceable Cech set to fulfill goalkeeping duties, Bertran, Terry, Ivanovic and David Luiz are starting in the heart of the Blues defense, while Ramires, Lampard, Mata, Moses and Hazard forming midfield backbone and Torres starting as the lonely striker.
