Europa League preview: Metalist Kharkiv vs Newcastle United

Europa League preview: Metalist Kharkiv vs Newcastle United

The previous fame ended in a goalless draw, with two Cisse’s goals disallowed because of offside. Newcastle need either a score draw or a win in order to progress to the next round and they will do their best to go further.

Metalist boast clean bill of health as they are still in pre-season preparation, the lack of match fitness could be their only problem.

Newcastle boss Alan Pardew has recently expressed delight about the recovery of Hatem Ben Arfa, however he is unlikely to risk him in the Europe League clash. It is likely that the midfielder returns back in action against Southampton on Sunday.

Debuchy and Gouffran are ineligible due to being cup-tied while Davide Santon has been rested. New-boys Sissoko, Yanga Mbiwa and Haidara have been included into starting line-up.
