European football weekend
The matches you cannot miss.
Barcelona v Seville
Barcelona meets Seville, but Tito Vilanova probably thinks more not about 3 points he can get, but rather about the “Clasico’ on the horizon. Andrés Iniesta, Sergio Busquets and Puyol trained with the main squad on Thursday, yet their appearance in the match against Sevilla is unlikely. Sevilla have not lost this season yet, winning in three matches and playing in a draw in two.
Borussia Dortmund v Borussia M’gladbach
Borussia M’gladbach record of the last five matches looks lousy, to put it mildly. The side ended 4 games in a draw and lost to Nürnberg 2-3. Jürgen Klopp is also struggling to return to the brilliant game the club produced last season and this match is a great chance to do it.
Juventus v AS Roma
After Juve escaped with a draw in the match against Fiorentina, extending their unbeaten run in the league to 44 matches, the Old Lady faces Roma that dominated in their game against third team on the standing Sampdoria, but managed to take only one point.
Twente v Ajax
The astonishing start of Twente with 6 Victories in 6 matches will be tested by the Amsterdam side that occupies the third position on the table and lost its first game in the Champions League. After criticism from Netherlands legend Ruud Gullit, who claimed the Dutch side lacks balance and ‘steel’, the match against Twente is the chance for Ajax to show progress.
