Everton eye Lescott

Mirror informs Everton boss David Moyes would like Man City Joleon Lescott to return to the Goodison Park.

Roberto Mancini is said to be disappointed with the centre-back’s performances this season and prepared to send the 30 year-old England international out on loan. David Moyes is said to be ready to secure the services of the experienced defender however Lescott’s wage demands may be the stumbling block

Currently Lescott is on £90,000 p/w deal at City which is set to expire in 2014. Mancini has decided to postpone Lescott’s contract negotiations until summer as he is weighting an option of releasing the player on a free transfer in order to free up Man City’s wage bill.
