FA verdict on Terry: four matches ban and £220,000 fine

FA verdict on Terry: four matches ban and £220,000 fine

After a four-day hearing the Football Association found John Terry guilty of racially abusing QPR player Anton Ferdinand.

The player’s representative claimed Terry was ‘disappointed’ of the decision despite being cleared by Westminster Magistrates’ Court, adding that Chelsea captain would ask for the detailed report of the reasons of the decision and would consider lodging an appeal.

Meanwhile Chelsea’s had already stated they respect the decision, but would not make any comments until verdict officially comes into action.

Earlier this week the former English captain announced that he was retiring from international football.
