Fiorentina chase Borini

Daily Mail reports Fiorentina are hot on the trail of Liverpool striker Fabio Borini in a bid to expand their attacking options.

Although the Serie A side has bought Giuseppe Rossi in January transfer window, they could lose in-demand Stevan Jovetic in summer. Meanwhile Fabio Borini’s career has been put on hold after he has suffered yet another serious injury (dislocated shoulder) that will keep him on the sidelines for the rest of the season.

Fiorentina are set to offer the player an escape route to end his nightmare at the Anfield, however they unsure whether Liverpool allow him to leave. Fiorentina sporting director Daniele Prade said:“We are looking for a forward with the hunger for goals. A player who lives to score goals. We like Fabio Borini, but it is unlikely that Liverpool will want to let him go.”
