Fiorentina to could part ways with Jovetic

Fiorentina admitted their forward Stevan Jovetic is looking for a new challenge, but the club will do utmost to retain him at Stadio Artemio Franchi. At the same time Serie A side may be forced to sell the player if they receive offer they cannot resist.

Despite Jovetic’s hefty transfer fee of €30 million, host of top European clubs are sniffing around and may try to lure him in summer. Man City, Chelsea, PSG, Juventus and Arsenal are expected to fight for the signature of the player.

Fiorentina general manager Sandro Mencucci admitted that Serie A side may be forced to part ways with the player should the interested parties make a respectable offer: “Jovetic wants a new experience and we’ll try to make him happy, but only if a suitable offer comes in.”

The 23-year-old Montenegro international has been in decent form this season, making 31 Serie A appearances and scoring 13 goals.

Mencucci also said the club is determined to try and extend the contract of their star Adam Ljajic: “We want to renew Ljajic’s contract and will see how that negotiation process evolves.”
