Former “Bafana Bafana” manager will head Wits

Clive Barker accepted the offer to coach Bidvest Wits after the Spaniard Lopez-Habas resigned earlier this month.

The new manager claimed the team has many talented players. adding he is “excited about the job”. Barker appointed current goalkeeper coach Andre Arendse as his assistant.

The 68-year-ld tactician headed such teams as AmaZulu, Durban Bush Bucks, Manning Rangers and Santos.

Despite financial support and a number of gifted players in the side Bidvest Wits is only ninth in the table.
