Fulham signed a free agent Giorgos Karagounis

The 35-year-old joins the Whites until the end of this season.

His contract with Panathinaikos expired this summer and as a free agent he is able to sign with Fulham outside the transfer window. He replaced the 35-year-old Danny Murphy that left the club for Blackburn Rovers.

Giorgos Karagounis featured for Internazionale and Benfica, he earned 120 caps for the Greece national team since 1999.

Greece captain said: ‘I’m looking forward to start working under Martin Jol’s guidance and playing together with some fantastic team players.’

Fulham’s boss Martin Jol reported: ‘Giorgos Karagounis has a wealth of club and international experience so I am happy that he has joined us for this season.’
