Goetze: move to Barcelona is my dream

Goetze: move to Barcelona is my dream

Arsenal’s hopes of signing Borussia Dortmund ace Mario Goetze have suffered a major blow after the player revealed he would rather prefer moving to either Barcelona or Man Utd.

Former Arsenal’s vice-chairman David Dein revealed Arsene Wenger has finally decided it is time to add high-profile name to his struggling squad in summer, with Goetze being at the top of his wish list. Wenger is reportedly ready to trigger player’s £31.5 million release clause.
However Man City made it clear they are also ready to battle for the signature of the highly-rated playmaker, after delivering a stand-out performance against the Citizens in Champions League.

And yet it looks like both clubs will miss out on the 20-year-old German international, as he has set his sights on moving to Barcelona after spending one more year with his club.

Goetze said: “I am very happy at Dortmund and satisfied with the way we are progressing as a team. Any thoughts about playing for another team are very much for the future, but Real Madrid, Barcelona or Manchester United could be interesting.”
