Hamburg Adler ruled out Arsenal transfer rumours

Hamburg Adler ruled out Arsenal transfer rumours

Hamburg goalkeeper Rene Adler dismissed transfer speculations linking him with a move to the Emirates stadium.

The Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is reportedly looking for a replacement to his current number one Wojciech Szczęsny who is considered too mentally fragile for the games against high-profile sides. The Frenchman considers Rene Adler to be a perfect candidate to fill Szczęsny’s boots as the 28-year-old Germany international is believed to have enough experience in both international and domestic competitions.

Adler himself remains committed to fulfilling goalkeeping duties at Hamburg, to which he is tied by a long-term contract. He revealed he does not pay attention to the rumours and wants to see his contract out before deciding to leave Germany.

German stated: “I am under contract with Hamburg, that is a fact. I can say that I have not thought about leaving or considered a transfer since I joined Hamburg (in May 2012).”
