Hoffenheim sack Marco Kurz

Hoffenheim sack Marco Kurz

The German side dismiss the manager as dropping in a class seems inevitable this season.

Hoffenheim lost 3-0 at Schalke on Saturday and currently stand second to bottom in Bundesliga, four points behind Augsburg in the relegation playoff place with seven matches left in the term.

Markus Gisdol who recently worked as assistant coach at Schalke 04 took charge of the team after Kurz’s departure.

“The 43-year-old football coach takes over the team with immediate effect and has been entrusted by the club leadership with the rebuilding of the team past the current season,” reads the club’s statement.
