Hull eye switch for Leicester Schmeichel

Hull eye switch for Leicester Schmeichel

Hull City are seriously considering the possibility of signing Leicester goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel.

The newly-promoted Tigers are desperately looking a quality goalkeeper, as they are to compete against the highest-quality opposition next season. Hull have been unable to agree on a transfer fee for Fulham loanee David Stockdale to make his deal permanent. That is why the Tigers’ boss Steve Bruce has made the signing of Schmeichel his priority.

Kasper Schmeichel, the son of legendary United goalkeeper Peter, has had an excellent season at Leicester helping his side to reach the play-off semi-finals, where they suffered defeat at the hands of Watford.

The 26-year-old Denmark international has a year remaining on his deal which means he could be available in a cut-price deal, and Bruce believes the prospect of playing in Premier League could lure the goalkeeper to join KC Stadium.
