Inter Milan are hot on the trail of Parma Belfodil

Inter Milan have entered the negotiations over a possible switch for Lyon starlet Ishak Belfodil in a deal that could see two Nerazzurri players moving the other way.

Striker Antonio Cassano and defender Matias Silvestre could join Parma on a season-long loan deal, should the move for Belfodil be agreed. Parma are reportedly ready to part ways with their talented striker, but want in excess of £9 million.

The 21-year-old Algerian had a loan spell with Bologna in 2012 before heading to Parma next summer. He scored 8 goals and set up another 5 in 34 appearances.

Inter president Massimo Moratti revealed they are still in the process of negotiations with Parma over a proposed move. He said: “There is not yet an agreement, we are still dealing with Parma. We think Belfodil is strong and we would like to have him along with another young talent like (Mauro) Icardi. Cassano and Silvestre to Parma? Let’s see, it’s possible but everything is not yet defined.

“Belfodil is a player we are negotiating for. I like him a lot, he could be the new Benzema. We will try to do everything to let the team start the season the best way,” he added.
