Jaap Stam to work as Ajax assistant coach
The tactician will start his duties in July.
Former Manchester United defender Jaap Stam put pen to paper on a three-year contract with Eredivisie giants Ajax taking the role of assistant coach.
The Dutchman finished his career in Ajax in 2007 making 31 outings, yet the most successful period in Stam’s football life was in Manchester United where he featured in 80 games and helped the side to claim the 1998/1999 treble.
Stam will cooperate in the club with another Manchester United legend Edwin van der Sar who works as Marketing Director.
