Jaaskelainen penned a new West Ham deal
West Ham boss Sam Allardyce confirmed goalkeeper Jussi Jaaskelainen committed his future to the club by clinching a new one-year deal.
The 37-year-old Finland international has joined the Hammers in 2012 on a free transfer to reunite with Sam Allardyce, with whom he has been working at Bolton. Jaaskelainen has quickly established himself as a firm first choice goalkeeper, making 33 appearances in all competitions.
‘Big Sam’ said: “It’s sorted. The option is linked into this year and kicked in with him completing the games. There is no doubt about the value of his signing.”
