Jürgen Klopp believes BVB is progressing

Jürgen Klopp was satisfied with 1-0 victory over Hamburg in the Liga-total! Cup, stating that ‘the team are here to claim the title and 1-0 is a decent result.’

The manager emphasized that friendly matches and preseason fixtures were extremely important for the team, as they showed the side: ‘how tiny mistakes get punished quickly. Our team players have to understand how to deal with these problems, such as a misplaced pass, for instance.’

The head coach was delighted the players played quickly and clearly, staying focused and from time to time showing ‘some really good football’. Yet Borussia boss admitted the quality of passing was not high.

Klopp claimed that the team is progressing in the physical aspect of the game which is the priority for him right now, but admitted: ‘tactically, we have also been able to do not that much so far.’
