Juventus set to sign Nicolas Anelka

Daily Mirror informs that former Chelsea striker Nicolas Anelka has decided to snub QPR and West Ham in favor of joining Juventus.

Queens Park Rangers and West Ham have been linked with a move for the 33-year-old former France international however the player preferred moving to Italian giants Juventus on a short-term, five-month deal. La Vecchia Signora have already agreed a transfer fee and player is believed to be flying to Torino to undergo his medical.

Juve director general Giuseppe Marotta revealed that Anelka’s transfer designed to fill a hole in team’s attacking line until Llorento’s arrival in summer. “It can be a good move for the short term, then at the end of the season we’ll evaluate what must be done. He is filling a hole. It is a five-month contract with an option for the second season, if things go well,” – Marotta said.
