Juventus sign Tevez from Manchester City

Juventus have confirmed the landing of striker Carlos Tevez from Manchester City for initial £10 million, which can rise to £12m with add-ons.

The turbulent seven-year career of the 29-year-old Argentinian in England came to end. Tevez met Juve officials on Wednesday and was later spotted holding number 10 jersey, which was glorified by the Bianconeri’s legend Alessandro Del Piero.

The Citizens will now be looking for a replacement to Tevez, with Edinson Cavani rumoured to top Pellegrini’s wish list.

A statement on an official club’s web-site read: “From now on, Carlos Tevez is a Juventus player. The Argentine striker, who arrived in Turin in the afternoon, has reached an agreement with Juventus to sign a contract of employment until 30 June 2016.”
