Juventus vs Napoli preview: it is time to fight for the Scudetto

The Italian champion will get half of the crown today.

Serie A running champions play against Napoli this Friday and the match could be perceived as the decisive moment in the race for this season’s title. Napoli ended in a draw their last three games in the League and should aim only for a victory in the clash if the team hopes to close the gap for the top spot. Walter Mazzarri’s side statistics also include the worrying number of 5 matches without a victory as the club disappointed in the Europa League losing to Viktoria Plzen and left the competition. One more major problem is Edinson Cavani’s goalless run with the Uruguay international failing to net a goal in February.

Napoli head coach Walter Mazzarri is well aware that anything but a win will put an end to all hopes of claiming Scudetto and following Juve’s loss to Roma several weeks ago the time to attack has come.

Juventus won Siene 3-0 last week but still left some questions about the club’s form. The Old Lady’s manager Antonio Conte is likely to set his side up to go and win the match, thus securing the title. Juventus won the previous game between the sides earlier in the season, 2-0, with Martin Caceres and Paul Pogba getting on the score sheet and surely the Italian tactician will try to repeat the success.
