Kompany to get back into action against Southampton
Sky Sports informs Man City have been given a huge boost with the news their skipper Vincent Kompany could return into action sooner than expected.
The 26-year-old Belgium international was expected to be on the sidelines for up to three weeks after suffering a calf injury in FA Cup’s win over Stoke. Kompany has missed two games against QPR and Liverpool with the Citizens dropping four points in his absence.
Man City first-team coach David Platt revealed Kompany could get back into action against the Saints on Saturday. He said: “The injury problems aren’t as bad now. There is nothing definite to say Vinny will make it for Southampton, but he has a chance.”
