La Liga results: Barca thrash Real Zaragoza

Cristian Tello bagged a brace to grant Barcelona a confident 3-0 win at the Estadio La Romareda.

The Catalans went into the game with a clear priority of saving the energies for the Champions League semi-final against Bayern Munich in two weeks, resting all key players - Lionel Messi, Andres Iniesta and Gerard Pique.

The graduates of Barca youth academy Tello and Thiago Alcantara were at the spotlight throughout the game, using the rare opportunity to show their talent in the first squad. Thiago opened the score on 20 minutes, receiving a pass from Alexis Sanchez and running the length of the pitch on a counter-attack before firing in off the far post. Later the Spaniard created a chance for Tello who lifted his effort over Roberto and scored the second just before the break.

Tello netted the third one on 53 minutes, outpacing the defender and squeezing the ball inside the far post.
