Real Madrid and Barca go on notching wins, Atlético Madrid is on track again.

Real Madrid notched 2-1 win over Levante at the waterlogged pitch of the Ciudad de Valencia stadium. Cristiano Ronaldo ensured a first-half lead but left the pitch with an eye injury missing the second half. Ángel equalized on the 62nd minute and Real seemed to skip their chance to earn three points but for 20-year-old Alvaro Morata, who scored his first goal for the side and saved the team.

Atlético Madrid claimed a 2-0 win at Getafe CF. Adrian netted an opener on the 24th minute and Arda Turan doubled he score shortly before half-time. Atletico recorded nine wins, one loss and one draw and are second in the table, three points behind Barcelona.

FC Barcelona downed RCD Mallorca 2-4. Barcelona made it 3-0 in the first half via the goals from Xavi, Messi and Cristian Tello. Michael Pereira and Victor Casadesus brought Mallorca closer to reduce the deficit scoring two goals, both netted within 5 minutes, and Messi helped Barca to double the lead on the 70th minute.

Athletic Bilbao claimed a narrow 2-1 win against Sevilla FC. Óscar De Marcos gave the lead to Athletic until Markel Susaeta equalized the score in the first-half injury time and Alvaro Negredo scored the winner on the 78th minute.

Real Valladolid and Valencia CF ended in a 1-1 draw. Both have 15 points nevertheless Valladolid is placed one position ahead due to the goal difference.

Granada overwhelmed the fourth-placed Betis via goals from Gabriel Torje and the second-half Mikel Rico’s winner.

Rayo Vallecano won Celta de Vigo 3-2 while Espanyol lost to their bottom-placed neighbor Osasuna 0-3.

Zaragoza came from behind and managed to make it 5-3 against Deportivo. Malaga lost at Real Sociedad 1-2 and thus Sociedad ended a run of four winless matches.
