Latest Transfer Rumors in English Football: Arsenal eye Fellaini, Morata, Man City chase Willian, Fernandinho

Everton’s powerhouse Marouane Fellaini is being targeted by Arsenal’s head coach Arsène Wenger. The signing of Belgian midfielder will allow Frenchman to strengthen the midfield line. Interest in 24 year-old Fellaini is high with Chelsea, Man Utd and PSG said to be monitoring the situation. And still Arsenal seem to be the favorites to sign the Belgian during the January transfer window.

According to Daily Mail, The Gunners are also taking an interest in Real Madrid’s striker Álvaro Morata. However Morata has recently extended his contract with Los Merengues and the prohibitive 70 million Euros release clause is reported to become the stumbling block for the Londoners. Wenger is also said to bid for the 20 year-old Borussia M’Gladbach defensive midfielder Granit Xhaka.

Chelsea are set to continue spending spree in January with a possible move for Juventus forward Alessandro Matri. According to Tuttomercatoweb.com The Blues are ready to open their check book and pay around 8 million Euro for the Italian should Falcao’s transfer fall through (Man City are reportedly in the driving seat to lure ‘El Tigre’ from Atlético Madrid).

Man City are reportedly chasing Shakhtar Donetsk pair Willian and Fernandinho. Both players demonstrated impressive performance in the Champions League matches against Chelsea. Yet the board of directors is unlikely to increase the transfer budget and Mancini has to raise the necessary funds by selling Lescott, Džeko and Balotelli. Mancini is also rumored to be interested in signing Birmingham keeper Jack Butland. According to The People, The Citizens plan to spend 6 million Euros on a 19 year-old player during the January transfer window and immediately loan him back to Birmingham.

Liverpool are hot on the trail of Vitesse 23 year-old striker Wilfried Bony. In order to improve their attacking options The Reds are also eyeing Jackson Martinez (Porto), Klaas-Jan Huntelaar (Schalke-04), and Tomer Hemed (Mallorca).

Sadly someday Scholes and Giggs will have to step off, Nani is no longer NANI!!!, Kagawa will need time to learn to keep up to the Premier League fatigue, Sir Alex still needs badly a strong midfielder, Maroune is going to Manchester for sure!!!
