Laudrup played down Chico Flores injury worries

Laudrup played down Chico Flores injury worries

Swansea manager Michael Laudrup has denied rumours suggesting Chico Flores could be ruled out for a long term due to injury setback.

The Spaniard has limped off during Swansea 2-1 defeat at the hands of Tottenham, which was his first appearance since recovering from severe injury.

It is to be recalled that Chico Flores has spent seven weeks on the sidelines after damaging ankle ligaments in Swansea’s 4-1 win over QPR. He was forced to miss the Swans famous Capital One Cup 5-0 win over Brentford.

There were concerns that Flores suffered a setback to his previous injury, however Laudrup revealed the 26-year-old will be fit to feature against Norwich. He said: “Chico got a kick. It was the same foot so he was a little worried but it’s not so bad. He should be ready in a couple of days.”
