Lazio, Sevilla target WBA Long

Daily Mirror reports that Lazio and Sevilla are the latest contenders to battle for the signature of West Bromwich Albion striker Shane Long.

The 26-year-old Republic of Ireland international has joined the Baggies in 2011 for £6.5 million from Reading. After a series of impressive performances his has caught attention of top Premier League clubs including Tottenham and Liverpool.

The current deal of the in-demand player is due to expire next year and the Baggies have an option of extending the contract for 12 more months. They are reportedly keen on securing Long’s long-term future and are set to offer him a new four-year contract. However the offer from Spanish or Italian side may be too tempting to resist.
