League One news: Swindon set to sack Di Canio

Daily Mirror states Swindon hierarchy are looking to sack manager Paolo Di Canio despite a run of good results as he is “too expensive” for the club.

Swindon are currently lying in the third spot of League One table, however the club is experiencing serious financial problems and the Italian’s massive wages are simply not affordable.

Di Canio revealed was considering his options after star Matt Ritchie was sold, but he has not been given money to spend on new players.

Swindon’s potential new owners are set to sack Di Canio should Football League permit them to take charge of the club in next 48 hours.
