Leverkusen is in talks with Chelsea over Schurrle's move

Forward Andre Schurrle edged closer to joining Chelsea, as Bayer Leverkusen sporting director Rudi Voller visited London to enter the negotiations with the Blues’ representatives.

According to the latest reports, Chelsea have made a part-exchange bid, involving Kevin De Bruyne as a makeweight. Voller and assistant Michel Reschke have already visited Brussels, where they talked to agent of the 21-year-old Belgian, currently on loan at Werder Bremen. Schürrle is having an impressive season in Bundesliga and several German clubs including Schalke, Borussia Dortmund and Leverkusen became interested in signing him on a permanent basis.

Voller said: “It was good to meet Chelsea officials, and the discussions went well, but no decision has been made yet.” Chelsea are preparing a five-year contract for the Germany forward.
