Liverpool chase Sporting star Ilori

Liverpool are weighing up a possibility of securing the services of the highly-rated Sporting Lisbon defender Tiago Ilori.

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has instructed his scouts to watch the 20-year-old in action and was to such an extent impressed with the reports he would like to land the player in summer. Rodgers considers Ilori to be a perfect long-term replacement to legendaryJamie Carragher, who retires at the end of the season.
