Liverpool is close to signing Borini

Italian striker Fabio Borini is step away from joining Liverpool as the BBC web site informs. The current manager of the club Brendan Rodgers had already worked with the young football player first in Chelsea football academy and later in Swansea.

Talks between the team and the player are still ongoing and the estimate fee for the player will be around 8 million pounds. Earlier Rodgers admitted they are close to signing a new player this week.

‘He will be terrific, I’m sure. And the supporters will absolutely love him.’ quotes Rodgers the BBC journalist Ben Smith in his Twitter account.

The 21-year-old player had already played for Chelsea, Parma and Swansea. Last season striker spent in Roma appearing in 24 matches in Serie A and scoring 9 goals. Borini was a part of the Italian squad at Euro 2012 although did not appear on the field during the tournament.
