Liverpool sign Sturridge

Liverpool have signed Chelsea forward Daniel Sturridge for a fee of £12 million.

Ex-Man City player has spoken of his joy at finally completing his move to Liverpool. “I am humbled and happy to be here,” said Sturridge. “I’ve signed to be here for as long as possible. It’s a humongous club - for me, one of the biggest in the world - and to have the fans and world-class players we have here is amazing.”

The 23-year-old forward fell out of favor with former Chelsea coach Roberto Di Matteo, making just two appearances this season and was forced to move to Liverpool in search of regular first-team football.
