Lokomotiv is close to signing Rakitic

The 24-year-old midfielder has been courted by the Russian club for a month, yet only recently the sides reached an agreement

Sevilla put all the efforts for keeping the player in the squad, but the latest bid by the Russian club was more than convincing for the team to agree. Rakitic himself refused to leave the side last summer and later even purchased a house in the city thus showing his determination to link his career to the club, but with Locomotive mighty financial power the Serbian was finally lured to Moscow.

Lokomotiv is reportedly offered €10 million for a transfer, while the player’s salary will be close to €2 million a season.
