Malaga’s European ban overturned

Malaga have been given a huge boost with the news they are free to participate in next season’s Europa League.

It is to be recalled that UEFA’s financial control body decided to exclude Qatar-owned Malaga from participation in next European competition they qualified for during next four seasons due to violation of financial regulations.

Malaga has been fined 300,000 euros and warned they will be suspended for one year more, should they fail to pay off debts to other teams, staff and tax bodies.

UEFA announced that one-year European ban, put on Spanish side over the financial irregularities, has been lifted after they appealed successfully to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
