Malouda eyes move away from Stamford Bridge

Malouda eyes move away from Stamford Bridge

Out-of-favour Chelsea forward Florent Malouda revealed he is relieved that his contract is due to expire in summer and he can move to another club.

The 32-year-old Frenchman has been frozen out of the first XI at Stamford Bridge this season by Di Matteo and then Benitez. His made his last first-team appearance in Champions League final in May, 2012, and was not involved since the historical Blues win over mighty Bayern Munich.

Now that his deal is set to expire in June, he is happy to end his nightmare and move away from Stamford Bridge. He said: “I have clearly disappeared, but now my contract with Chelsea is over. It is nice, I am released and available for my comeback. My immediate future is about playing again but that may be not in August. Will it be in France? Everything is possible.”
