Man City assistant admits Cavani may be too expensive for them

Daily Mail informs assistant manager Angelo Gregucci admitted Manchester City may be not able to afford their long-term target Edinson Cavani, although he worth every penny of his £54 million price-tag.

The 25-year-old Uruguay international Cavani has been in remarkable form this season, scoring 18 goals in 20 Serie A appearances for Napoli. The Italian side is determined to hold onto their star and have included the €63million (£54m) release clause in his contract to scare away potential buyers.

Gregucci said “I am sure that it will not be easy for us at City to take Cavani. He is well worth his high price-tag and I’m sure that he would score goals at the top 10 clubs in the world. His buy-out clause is pretty high and Napoli did a good job to include that in his deal. I feel that it would be money well spent, though. He is worth every cent.”
