Man City chase Taison

Daily Mail states that Manchester City are looking to hijack Chelsea’s move for highly-rated Metalist forward Taison.

After signing Demba Ba from Newcastle, Chelsea have turned their attention to another striker. The Blues are said to be closing in on a deal for 24-year-old Metalist Kharkiv Brazilian star Taison after having agreed the transfer fee and the personal terms with the player. However Man City have made an 11th hour bid in an attempt to steal the in-demand player from under the noses of Chelsea.

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is said to be frustrated with Metalist’s demands of a higher transfer fee for Taison (they want £13 million instead of previously agreed £11 million), however he is determined not to let the title rivals to sign the player.

Taison has made 13 appearances this season scoring two goals and setting up another three.
