Man City to launch £50m Neymar bid

Goal.com reports that Man City’s director of football Txiki Begiristain attended Sao Paolo this week intensifying the speculation about Neymar’s transfer to the Etihad stadium.

Although the purpose of Begiristain’s visit remains in the dark, there have been the rumors that he flew to Sao Paolo to talk to Santos’ representatives about the possible Neymar’s move to Manchester.

Santos have repeatedly rejected the reports saying that the agreement has been reached with Barcelona about Neymar’s move after his contract expires in 2014.

Meanwhile Man City are reportedly ready to spend their transfer budget on £50 million-rated Neymar. The 20 year-old wonderkid has been voted the South American footballer of the year. He has made 133 appearances for Santos, scoring 70 goals and won 27 Brazil caps having put his name on the score sheet 17 times.
