Man City players recorded tram announcements

Daily Mail reports Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini, skipper Vincent Kompany, goalkeeper Joe Hart and midfielder James Milner have recorded tram announcements to and from the Etihad stadium.

Players’ voices could be heard on match days and will be used for the first time on Sunday when Man City host Leeds in the FA Cup encounter. City skipper Kompany says “’This is your captain speaking,” before announcing the next stop.

Director for Transport for Greater Manchester’s Metrolink Peter Cushing said he is thankful to Man City players for participation in the project. “We are grateful to Roberto, Joe, Vincent and James for taking time out of their busy schedules to record these messages. We know that the Etihad Campus stop is going to be a very popular destination - especially on match days - and we thought this will be an interesting addition to people’s journeys before and after the game.”
