Man Utd chase PSG Verratti

Daily Express informs that Manchester United are set to step up their interest in Paris Saint-Germain starlet Marco Verratti.

The 20-year-old Italian has impressed both the coaching staff and fans with series of excellent performances this season. The pundits reckon Verratti is showing signs of developing into a quality player.

The Red Devils are currently looking for a replacement to winger Nani who is poised to leave the club this summer due to the disagreement over contract details. Paul Scholes will be yet another Man Utd loss at the end of the season, as veteran midfielder plans to retire from football in summer.

Verratti’s agent Donato di Campli has recently revealed the interest in the Italy international is high. He said: “Many Italian clubs have contacted me to know the status of Verratti, but they are not the only ones to have done so. Big clubs in Spain and England are also interested in him. Barcelona and Manchester United are in the front row. Sir Alex Ferguson really likes Marco.”
