Man Utd Scholes set to miss clash against Reading

Eurosport states Man Utd veteran midfielder is likely to miss FA Cup fifth round clash against Reading due to knee injury.

The 35-year-old Scholes has missed the Champions’ League last-16 first leg on Wednesday after damaging his knee at the training session. Sir Alex Ferguson revealed: “It is a knee injury, which has been bothering him a bit. We have tried another treatment during the week. He will probably be back in another couple of weeks.”

Fergie has also confirmed that Man Utd were lucky to come out of the close-fought battle against Real Madrid without fresh injuries. “We’ve come through Wednesday night’s game without any injuries,” he said. “That’s the best thing, apart from the result of course.
